Business Game Changer ("we", "us", "our") operates Socialsmith (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and your rights over it.

1. Who We Are

Business Game Changer is the data controller responsible for your personal data in connection with the Service. You can contact us at wearegamechangers@outlook.com.

2. What We Collect

• Account information: email address, password (stored securely, hashed — never in plain text), and any name or client details you enter.
• Content data: the inputs you provide (e.g. topics, book details, client information) and the content Socialsmith generates for you.
• Billing information: if you subscribe, payment is handled by a third-party payment processor. We do not store your full card details ourselves.
• Technical data: basic usage and log data (e.g. login times, error logs) needed to operate and secure the Service.

3. Why We Collect It

We use your data to:

• Provide and operate the Service (generate and store your content, manage your account);
• Process subscription payments;
• Maintain the security and reliability of the Service;
• Respond to support requests you send us.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Where Your Data Is Stored

Your account and content data is stored using Supabase, our database provider. Depending on your region and Supabase's infrastructure, data may be processed outside your home country. Where this involves a transfer of personal data out of the UK or EU, we take reasonable steps to ensure an adequate level of protection is in place.

5. AI Content Generation

Content you generate is processed by a third-party AI model provider in order to produce your output. Inputs you submit for generation are sent to that provider for processing. Please avoid entering highly sensitive personal information (e.g. health details, financial account numbers) into content prompts.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account and content data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your data may be retained for a reasonable period afterward in case you wish to reactivate, after which it may be deleted. You can request earlier deletion at any time (see Section 8).

7. Cookies

The Service may use essential cookies or local storage needed to keep you logged in and remember basic preferences. We do not currently use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

8. Your Rights

If you are located in the UK or EU, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you;
• Request correction of inaccurate data;
• Request deletion of your data;
• Object to or restrict certain processing;
• Request a copy of your data in a portable format;
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, email wearegamechangers@outlook.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO; in France, the CNIL).

9. Children

The Service is not directed at, and should not be used by, anyone under the age of 18.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected with an updated "Last updated" date above.
